What to Expect

It can be daunting to seek out a therapist and intimidating to initiate that first contact. Read below for what to expect during our first few interactions. I'm hoping that will help answer questions and alleviate any anxiety around the process of beginning services.

Consult

Give me a call and we can discuss needs related to therapy and see if I would be the right fit for you. We will also discuss scheduling to make sure we don't begin the intake process and not have time slots that align with your schedule. If we wish to move forward I will need your insurance information and email. If you get my voicemail, please leave your name and number. I will return your call within 48 hours.

Intake Paperwork

You will receive an email that will instruct you to set-up your client portal. From there you can complete all necessary documentation, review policies, and fill out an initial questionnaire. This packet along with verification of insurance will need to be completed prior to our intake meeting.

Intake Meeting

Expect to set aside around an hour for our intake meeting. This allows us an opportunity to discuss history of issues, highlight strengths, identify goals, and discuss responsibilities of therapy. We will go over important policies and provide time for additional questions.

Schedule Sessions

We meet for our scheduled sessions, working towards identified goals. Consistency and communication are key to growth.
